Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Qi Addons For Elementor versions 1.8.7 and earlier
Description
The Qi Addons For Elementor plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the
cursor parameter due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Contributor-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. The vulnerability was partially patched in versions 1.8.5, 1.8.6, and 1.8.7.Recommendations
For versions 1.8.7 and earlier, update to a version later than 1.8.7 to fully resolve the issue.
As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the
cursor parameter to minimize the risk of exploitation.
Restrict access to pages that may have been injected with malicious scripts to prevent further exploitation.Fix
