CVE-2025-5096

CVSS v3.1

6.4

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions TablePress plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 3.1.2
Description The issue is related to DOM-Based Stored Cross-Site Scripting due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This allows authenticated attackers with Contributor-level access and above to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. The vulnerability is exploited via the data-caption, data-s-content-padding, data-s-title, and data-footer data-attributes.
Recommendations For TablePress plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 3.1.2, update to a version later than 3.1.2 to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the data-caption, data-s-content-padding, data-s-title, and data-footer data-attributes to minimize the risk of exploitation.
