setDeviceURL function of the file /goform/setDeviceURL. The manipulation of the DeviceURL argument leads to os command injection. The attack can be initiated remotely. The exploit has been disclosed to the public and may be used.Recommendations
For Linksys RE6500 version 1.2.07.001, consider disabling the
setDeviceURL function until a patch is available.
For Linksys RE6250 version 1.2.07.001, restrict access to the /goform/setDeviceURL endpoint to minimize the risk of exploitation.
For Linksys RE6300 version 1.2.07.001, avoid using the DeviceURL argument in the affected API endpoint until the issue is resolved.
