CVE-2025-4224
CVSS v3.1
7.2
High
| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
wpForo + wpForo Advanced Attachments versions up to, and including, 3.1.3
Description
The issue is related to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via media upload names due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This allows authenticated attackers with Custom-level access and above to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
Recommendations
For versions up to, and including, 3.1.3, update to a version later than 3.1.3 to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to media upload functionality to minimize the risk of exploitation. Additionally, restrict the use of Custom-level access and above to reduce the potential for arbitrary web script injection.
Fix
