Description: The issue concerns a command injection vulnerability in the Telnet interface. An authenticated and remote attacker can execute arbitrary OS commands as root over Telnet by sending crafted util backup configuration commands.
Recommendations: For Netgear FVS336Gv2, consider disabling the Telnet interface until a patch is available. For Netgear FVS336Gv3, restrict access to the util backup configuration command to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
