CVE-2025-38002

CVSS v3.1

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description The issue concerns a problem with reading SQE fields in the Linux kernel when the ring is being resized simultaneously. This is related to the io uring/fdinfo functionality, specifically the need to grab the ctx->uring lock around the io uring show fdinfo() function to ensure proper locking. The existing trylock() already handles the failure case with diminished utility/output.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
