Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
WpEvently plugin for WordPress versions prior to 4.4.2
Description
The issue is related to Stored Cross-Site Scripting due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping, allowing authenticated attackers with Contributor-level access and above to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages. These scripts will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
Recommendations
For versions prior to 4.4.2, update to version 4.4.2 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to pages that can be edited by users with Contributor-level access and above to minimize the risk of exploitation.
Fix
