CVSS v3.1

9.1

Critical

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:H/UI:N/S:C/C:H/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions: Wavlink AC3000 version M33A8.V5030.210505
Description: A stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability exists in the DeleteMac() function of wireless.cgi. This issue can be triggered by a specially crafted HTTP request, potentially leading to arbitrary command execution. An attacker must make an authenticated HTTP request to exploit this vulnerability.
Recommendations: For version M33A8.V5030.210505, consider disabling the DeleteMac() function in wireless.cgi as a temporary workaround until a patch is available. Restrict access to the wireless.cgi module to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the DeleteMac() function in authenticated HTTP requests until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
