Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Seraphinite Accelerator plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 2.27.21
Description
The issue is related to Cross-Site Request Forgery due to missing or incorrect nonce validation on the
OnAdminApi CacheOpBegin function. This allows unauthenticated attackers to perform administrative actions, such as deleting the cache, by tricking a site administrator into performing an action like clicking on a link.Recommendations
For versions up to, and including, 2.27.21, update to a version that includes the fix for the missing or incorrect nonce validation on the
OnAdminApi CacheOpBegin function.
As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the OnAdminApi CacheOpBegin function until a patch is available.Fix
