CVSS v3.1

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel versions prior to 6.12.9
Description A vulnerability in the Linux kernel has been resolved, related to a missing lock in the k3-udma.c file. This issue causes recent kernels to complain when the lock validator is enabled, resulting in a warning message. The vulnerability is associated with the udma start.isra.0 function and the udma check tx completion process.
Recommendations For Linux kernel versions prior to 6.12.9, update to version 6.12.9 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider disabling the udma start.isra.0 function until a patch is available. Restrict access to the vulnerable k3-udma module to minimize the risk of exploitation.
