CVE-2025-38010

CVSS v2.0

6.8

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/Au:S/C:C/I:C/A:C
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description The issue is related to the Linux kernel's handling of UTMI pad power state tracking. The current implementation uses a reference count to manage the shared bias pad for all UTMI PHYs, which can lead to a mismatch in the reference count during system suspension with connected USB devices. This results in warnings and potential issues with the power state of the shared bias pad. The root cause is attributed to dynamic power-down changes introduced in a previous commit. The issue has been resolved by replacing the single reference counter with a bitmask, allowing for individual tracking of each pad's enablement status.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
