Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
A use-after-free issue has been identified in the Linux kernel, specifically in the mlxsw spectrum router driver. The driver fails to properly handle the deletion of GRE net devices, resulting in a use-after-free condition when the net device is deleted. This occurs because the driver does not perform the necessary checks when replaying existing configurations after a reload, leading to the offloading of previously added neighbors. The issue can be triggered by deleting a neighbor and then deleting the GRE net device.
Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
