Description
A use-after-free issue has been identified in the Linux kernel, specifically in the RDMA/core component. The problem arises when the function
ib device rename() renames a device name with lock protection, but the function kobject uevent() accesses this name without lock protection simultaneously. This issue is similar to a previously fixed problem. The estimated number of potentially affected devices worldwide is not available. There is no information about real-world incidents where this issue was exploited.Recommendations
To resolve this issue, apply the fix that adds lock protection when accessing the device name in the

At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.Exploit
