CVE-2025-38038

CVSS v2.0

6.0

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:H/Au:S/C:C/I:C/A:C
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description The issue concerns the Linux kernel, specifically the cpufreq amd-pstate driver. It involves the removal of an unnecessary driver lock in the set boost function. This lock was unnecessary because set boost is a per-policy function call. Moreover, its presence could lead to a deadlock when combined with another mutex acquisition in the status store() function.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
