CVE-2025-38039

CVSS v3.1

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description The issue concerns the Linux kernel, specifically the net/mlx5e driver. When attempting to enable MQPRIO while HTB offload is already configured, the driver returns -EINVAL and triggers a WARN ON, leading to an unnecessary call trace. This has been resolved by updating the code to handle this case more gracefully by returning -EOPNOTSUPP instead, while also providing a helpful user message.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
