Description A vulnerability in the Linux kernel has been resolved. The issue is related to the drm/amd/display component, where it's possible to generate more than 50 steps in hwss build fast sequence, causing a buffer overflow and corruption of block sequence steps, leading to a crash. This can occur, for example, with a 6-pipe asic where all pipes are in one MPC chain. The estimated number of potentially affected devices worldwide is not available. There is no information about real-world incidents where this issue was exploited.
