CVE-2022-50012

CVSS v2.0

6.0

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:H/Au:S/C:C/I:C/A:C
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description A vulnerability in the Linux kernel has been resolved. The issue is related to the initialization of jump labels on 64-bit systems. Specifically, calling jump label init() in setup feature keys() is too late because static keys may be used in subroutines of parse early param(), which is a subroutine of early init devtree(). This can cause a warning and a call trace when booting with certain parameters, such as "threadirqs". The vulnerability is resolved by calling jump label init() just before parse early param() in early init devtree().
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
