Description A issue in the Linux kernel has been identified where the ASoC: SOF: Intel: hda-ipc does not properly handle IPC replies before firmware boot. This could potentially lead to a NULL pointer dereference if a broken firmware sends a reply message before a FW READY message. The issue is present in both IPC3 and IPC4 firmware.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
