CVSS v2.0

6.0

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:H/Au:S/C:C/I:C/A:C
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description A vulnerability in the Linux kernel has been resolved. The issue occurs when DPCM tries to add valid BE connections without checking if the picked BE supports the given stream direction, potentially resulting in a NULL dereference. This happens when an asymmetric BE stream is present. The patch adds a check for the presence of the substream for the target BE to avoid this problem.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
