Description A vulnerability in the Linux kernel has been resolved, which was caused by an empty cpus allowed mask in the cpuset. This could lead to a panic due to an out-of-bounds CPU value access. The issue occurred when cpuset can attach() called task can attach() with an empty mask, causing cpumask any and() to return nr cpu ids and resulting in a crash. The fix involves using effective cpus instead of cpus allowed to prevent this issue.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
