Description
A potential buffer overflow issue has been identified in the Linux kernel, specifically in the
ni set mc special registers() function. The issue arises from the lack of bounds checking for the j offset, which can lead to writing beyond the bounds of the mc reg address[j] and mc data[j] buffers. The problem was detected using the static analysis tool Svace.Recommendations
