CVE-2022-50206

CVSS v3.1

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description A vulnerability in the Linux kernel has been resolved, which occurred when the emulation proc handler() function changed table->data for proc dointvec minmax. This could generate an Oops error if called concurrently with itself, resulting in a kernel NULL pointer dereference. The issue was fixed by keeping table->data as &insn->current mode and using container of() to retrieve the insn pointer, with an additional mutex to protect against current mode updates.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
