Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel has been resolved. The issue occurs on systems that implement FEAT EPAN, where read/write access to the idmap is denied because UXN is not set on the swapper PTEs. As a result,
idmap kpti install ng mappings generates a kernel panic when accessing idmap kpti flag. The problem is fixed by setting UXN on these PTEs.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
