CVE-2024-11405

CVSS v3.1

6.1

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions: WP Front-end login and register plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 2.1.0
Description: The issue arises from insufficient input sanitization and output escaping, allowing unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages via the email and wpmp reset password token parameters. This enables attackers to execute scripts if they can trick a user into performing an action, such as clicking on a link.
Recommendations: For versions up to, and including, 2.1.0, consider disabling the email and wpmp reset password token parameters until a patch is available to prevent exploitation. Restrict access to the affected plugin to minimize the risk of arbitrary web script injection. Avoid using the email and wpmp reset password token parameters in the affected plugin until the issue is resolved.
