Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions:
Magic Buttons for Elementor plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 1.0
Description:
The issue is related to Stored Cross-Site Scripting due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes in the plugin's magic-button shortcode. This allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level access and above to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
Recommendations:
For Magic Buttons for Elementor plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 1.0, consider disabling the magic-button shortcode until a patch is available to prevent exploitation. Restrict access to pages that use the magic-button shortcode to minimize the risk of arbitrary web script execution. Avoid using the magic-button shortcode in pages until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
