CVSS v3.1

7.8

High

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions: Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description: A concurrency-related issue in the Linux kernel has been resolved. The problem was related to buffer locking in the ring buffer subbuf order set() function. To fix this, the critical section in ring buffer subbuf order set() was enlarged to ensure error handling takes place with the per-buffer mutex held, thus preventing list corruption and other concurrency-related issues.
Recommendations: At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
