CVE-2025-38128

CVSS v2.0

6.0

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:H/Au:S/C:C/I:C/A:C
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions: Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description: A vulnerability in the Linux kernel has been resolved, related to Bluetooth MGMT. The issue involves rejecting malformed HCI CMD SYNC commands. In the mgmt hci cmd sync() function, a check is performed to ensure the size of parameters passed in struct mgmt cp hci cmd sync matches the total size of the data. If the sizes do not match, large invalid params len can cause hci cmd sync alloc() to access memory beyond the area passed to mgmt hci cmd sync().
Recommendations: At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
