CVE-2025-38134

CVSS v2.0

6.0

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:H/Au:S/C:C/I:C/A:C
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions: Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description: A null pointer dereference issue has been identified in the Linux kernel, specifically in the usb acpi add usb4 devlink() function. This issue arises when usb hub to struct hub() returns NULL, which can occur during hub driver unbind or teardown race conditions, even if the underlying usb device structure exists. The subsequent access to hub->ports[udev->portnum - 1] will cause a null pointer dereference.
Recommendations: At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
