CVE-2025-38163

CVSS v3.1

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions: Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description: A bug in the f2fs file system has been resolved. The issue occurred when the sbi->total valid block count was inconsistent with the mapped blocks indexed by the inode, causing a panic. To address this, a sanity check has been added to prevent the panic and instead print a log and set the fsck flag. The bug was reported by syzbot.
Recommendations: At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
