CVE-2025-2537

CVSS v3.1

6.4

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions: WordPress plugins (affected versions not specified)
Description: The issue is related to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the plugin's bundled ThickBox JavaScript library. Insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes make it possible for authenticated attackers with contributor-level access and above to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages. These scripts will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
Recommendations: For WordPress plugins using the ThickBox JavaScript library version 3.1, consider disabling the library until a patch is available. Restrict access to pages that use the ThickBox library to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using user-supplied attributes in the ThickBox library until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
