Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions:
Premium Addons for Elementor plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 4.10.69
Description:
The issue arises from insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes in the linkURL of the Mobile Menu element. This allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher to inject arbitrary web scripts into pages. These scripts will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
Recommendations:
For versions up to, and including, 4.10.69, update to a version higher than 4.10.69 to resolve the issue.
As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the Mobile Menu element until a patch is available.
Avoid using the
linkURL attribute in the Mobile Menu element until the issue is resolved.Fix
