CVE-2025-38188

CVSS v3.1

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions: Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description: A vulnerability in the Linux kernel has been resolved. The issue is related to the drm/msm/a7xx component, where calling the CP RESET CONTEXT STATE packet is necessary when switching contexts to ensure that various pieces of state used by userspace are in a "safe" state. Failure to do so could cause a denial of service, where a userspace submission in one context could cause another context to function incorrectly and hang. This issue was missed during the initial a7xx bringup.
Recommendations: At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
