Description:
A critical issue has been found in the processing of the file
cis update x64.xml of the component Manifest File Handler. The manipulation of the argument binary/params leads to os command injection. The attack may be initiated remotely. The complexity of an attack is rather high, and the exploitation is known to be difficult. The vendor was contacted early about this disclosure but did not respond in any way.Recommendations:
As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the
cis update x64.xml file until a patch is available.
Avoid using the binary/params argument in the affected component until the issue is resolved.
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.Exploit
