CVE-2025-49541
CVSS v2.0
5.5
Medium
| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/Au:S/C:P/I:P/A:N |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions:
ColdFusion versions 2025.2, 2023.14, 2021.20 and earlier
Description:
The issue is a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability that could be exploited by a high-privileged attacker to inject malicious scripts into vulnerable form fields. When a victim accesses the page containing the vulnerable field, malicious JavaScript may be executed in their browser, and the scope is changed. The vulnerable component is restricted to internal IP addresses.
Recommendations:
For ColdFusion versions 2025.2, 2023.14, and 2021.20, consider restricting access to the vulnerable form fields until a fix is available.
For versions earlier than 2021.20, restrict access to the vulnerable component to minimize the risk of exploitation.
As a temporary workaround, consider disabling the execution of JavaScript in the vulnerable fields to prevent malicious script injection.
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
