| Vector | AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions:
Linux kernel versions prior to 6.15.0-02023-gadbdb95c8696-dirty #1238
Description:
A NULL pointer dereference issue was identified in the
group cpus evenly() function within the lib/group cpus module of the Linux kernel. This issue occurs when numgrps is set to 0, resulting in a dereference of a NULL pointer after kcalloc() returns ZERO SIZE PTR. The fix involves adding a check for numgrps within group cpus evenly() and returning NULL directly if it is zero.Recommendations:
Update the Linux kernel to version 6.15.0-02023-gadbdb95c8696-dirty #1238 or a later version to resolve this issue.
