CVE-2025-38322

CVSS v2.0

6.0

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:H/Au:S/C:C/I:C/A:C

Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions:

Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)

Description:

The perf fuzzer identified a hard-lockup crash on a RaptorLake machine due to an issue in the icl update topdown event() function. This crash occurs because the function is incorrectly invoked on E-core CPUs that do not support the perf metrics feature. The root cause is a regression introduced by a previous commit that mistakenly used the is topdown event() function instead of is topdown count() to determine whether to invoke topdown functions for the perf metrics feature.

Recommendations:

At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
