CVE-2025-38345

CVSS v3.1

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H

Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions:

Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)

Description:

The Linux kernel contains a vulnerability in the ACPICA component related to an ACPI operand cache leak in dswstate.c. The issue stems from a miscalculation in the acpi ds obj stack pop and delete() function, which incorrectly determines the top of the stack, leading to a memory leak. This leak can potentially expose kernel function memory locations in stack dumps, which could be exploited by malicious users to compromise kernel Address Space Layout Randomization (ASLR).

Recommendations:

At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
