Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
A flaw exists in the Linux kernel's DRM/MSM/GPU subsystem that can lead to a crash when throttling the GPU immediately during boot. This occurs when the GPU is already hot during boot and the system attempts to apply devfreq cooling before the GMU is initialized, resulting in attempts to access GMU registers within the
a6xx gpu busy() function. The issue arises from an incorrect state of the devfreq suspended flag after initialization, causing msm devfreq get dev status() to access GMU registers, leading to a kernel panic.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
