CVE-2025-38362

CVSS v3.1

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description The mod hdcp hdcp1 enable encryption() function calls get first active display() without checking its return value. If the display list is empty, get first active display() returns a null pointer, leading to a null pointer dereference in mod hdcp hdcp2 enable encryption(). A null pointer check has been added for get first active display(), and the function now returns MOD HDCP STATUS DISPLAY NOT FOUND if it returns null.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
