CVE-2025-38368

CVSS v3.1

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description A NULL pointer dereference issue was identified in the tps6594 pfsm probe() function within the tps6594-pfsm module. The devm kasprintf() function could return a NULL value for pfsm->miscdev.name, leading to a potential NULL pointer dereference. A pointer check was added to prevent this issue, similar to a previous fix for ice ptp.c. This issue was discovered through static analysis.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
