CVSS v3.1

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux Kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description A flaw was discovered in the Linux kernel related to the Network File System (NFS). Specifically, the issue occurs when nfs fs proc net init() fails, leading to the improper removal of the /proc/net/rpc/nfs directory. Subsequently, attempting to remove /proc/net/rpc results in a warning as the directory is not empty. This can lead to instability or unexpected behavior. The issue was identified through syzbot fault injection testing.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
