VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description The Linux kernel contains a flaw within the netfilter module, specifically in the nf flow pppoe proto() function. A bug was identified where the Ethernet header was not accounted for, leading to a potential access to uninitialized values. This issue was discovered by syzbot and addressed by a commit that corrected the oversight regarding the Ethernet header. The flaw manifests as a KMSAN uninit-value error within nf flow offload inet hook in net/netfilter/nf flow table inet.c.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
