Description
The Linux kernel contains a flaw within the netfilter module, specifically in the
nf flow pppoe proto() function. A bug was identified where the Ethernet header was not accounted for, leading to a potential access to uninitialized values. This issue was discovered by syzbot and addressed by a commit that corrected the oversight regarding the Ethernet header. The flaw manifests as a KMSAN uninit-value error within nf flow offload inet hook in net/netfilter/nf flow table inet.c.Recommendations
