CVSS v3.1

7.1

High

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description The Linux kernel contains a flaw within the raid1 reshape function where a memory pool is allocated on the stack and assigned to a configuration structure. This results in a pointer within the memory pool pointing to a stack address. Subsequent access to this invalid address can lead to a kernel panic. The issue occurs during memory pool deallocation when the wait queue is accessed, potentially causing a crash.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
