Description A vulnerability exists in the Linux kernel related to the mt76/mt7925 driver. Specifically, a NULL pointer dereference can occur in the mt7925 sta set decap offload() function when the station is not fully initialized, potentially leading to a kernel panic. This issue arises when the function is triggered before the station's resources are properly set up, causing an attempt to access members of a NULL msta->vif pointer. The crash was observed on a Raspberry Pi 4 Model B.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
