Description
The Linux kernel contains a flaw in the
md/md-bitmap module within the bitmap get stats() function. The issue causes a General Protection Fault (GPF) when collecting statistics, specifically when handling external bitmaps. The code incorrectly checks for a valid superblock, leading to the fault. The fix involves ensuring the existence of a superblock for both internal and external bitmap cases.Recommendations
