Description
The Linux kernel contains a time-of-check-to-time-of-use (TOCTOU) vulnerability in the vsock transport mechanism. A race condition can occur between transport assignment and module unloading, potentially leading to a stale pointer. This issue also involves an insecure call within the
vsock use local transport() function. A kernel oops may occur, specifically a page fault, as indicated by the bug report.Recommendations
