Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
The Linux kernel contains a use-after-free vulnerability in the
tipc conn close() function. This issue was discovered through syzbot reporting a null-ptr-deref during netns dismantle. The vulnerability occurs because tipc conn close() is called after releasing the IDR lock, potentially leading to a race condition where the function is called on a connection that has already been freed.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
