Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
OpenImageIO version 3.1.0.0dev

An allocation-size-too-big bug in the component /imagebuf.cpp of OpenImageIO may cause a Denial of Service (DoS) when the program requests to allocate too much space.
Recommendations
For OpenImageIO version 3.1.0.0dev, as a temporary workaround, consider restricting the allocation size in the /imagebuf.cpp component to prevent excessive space allocation until a patch is available.
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
