CVSS v3.1

7.8

High

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description A flaw was identified in the Linux kernel's networking subsystem, specifically within the libwx component. The issue involves a redundant call to page pool put full page(), which should only be invoked when freeing Rx buffers or building a Short Keep-Alive (SKB) if the size is insufficient. Incorrect usage can lead to a double-free condition, resulting in a kernel panic. The root cause is the unnecessary reuse of pages in certain scenarios. The crash is indicated by a list deletion corruption error.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
