VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel versions prior to 6.6.74
Description A vulnerability has been resolved in the Linux kernel related to tracing. The issue involves preventing a bad count for tracing cpumask write. If a large count is provided, it triggers a warning in bitmap parse user. The fix also includes checking for zero.
Recommendations For versions prior to 6.6.74, update to version 6.6.74 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting the use of the tracing cpumask write function until a patch is available.
